Cluster 2: Editorial Governance COPE Core Practices 4, 8 and 9

Submissions from Editors and Editorial Board Members

Editors and Editorial Board members may submit their scholarly work to SINTA Journal (Science, Technology, and Agricultural), but they receive no preferential treatment.

When an Editor or Board member submits a manuscript:

  1. The submitting editor is completely blinded from all internal editorial correspondence and reviewer identities.
  2. The manuscript is handled by an independent Guest Editor or Section Editor appointed specifically for that submission.
  3. The submitting editor cannot access the OJS editorial dashboard for their own submission.
  4. The published article must contain an explicit transparency disclosure stating: "This manuscript was submitted by an Editorial Board member and was handled independently by an external editor following a blind review process."
