FACTORS RELATED TO THE PRACTICE OF ERADICATING DENGUE BLOOD FEVER MOSQUITO NESTS AT HEALTH CARE CENTRE DURIAN KEPAHIANG

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with the practice of family dengue DHF in the community of Durian Depun Village. This type of research is quantitative research with a cross-sectional design. This research was conducted in July 2018 at Durian Depun Village. The study population consisted of 802 families. A number of research samples, as many as 80 families, were taken using the purposive sampling technique. Data analysis with Chi-Square test. The results showed that there was a relationship between experience getting counseling (p-value = 0.034), pain experience (p-value = 0.029), knowledge (p-value = 0.042), and attitude (p-value = 0.027) with the practice of family dengue PSN in Durian Village Kepahiang District Depun. While unrelated variables are education variables (p-value = 0.796). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the experience of getting counseling, the experience of pain, and knowledge, is a factors that is related to the practice of eradicating dengue mosquito nests.
