Abstract


Currently, there is still a lack of attention in several regions in Indonesia regarding the problem of refractive errors, especially among school children. This study aims to determine the effect of the use of gadgets on students' visual acuity at SD Negeri 21 Bengkulu Selatan in 2022. The type of research used in this study was a descriptive-analytic method. The sample of this research is all students of classes V and VI, which is as many as 60 students. The distribution of the frequency of visual acuity in children at SD Negeri 21 Bengkulu Selatan in 2021, from 60 respondents, 55 respondents (91.7%) had normal visual acuity, and 5 respondents (8.3%) had abnormal visual acuity. The results of the statistical test show a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05) so it can be concluded that there is an effect of using gadgets on visual acuity in students at SD Negeri 21 Bengkulu Selatan in 2022.
