Abstract


During the Covid-19 pandemic, a lot of single-use waste that was used by health workers in Covid-19 patients that could not be handled safely could not transmit Covid-19. This study aims to see the effect of Covid-19 on the quantity of medical waste in the X Hospital Bengkulu City. This type of research is quantitative using secondary data before Covid-19, namely from August 2019 to December 2019, and during the Covid-19 pandemic, from January 2020 to May 2020. The results showed the average quantity of medical waste produced by X Hospital before Covid-19 was 35.79 Kg of waste with a standard deviation of 7,275 Kg of waste and during the Covid-19 pandemic it was 32.03 Kg of waste with a standard deviation of 8,634 Kg of waste. The difference between medical waste before and during the Covid-19 pandemic is 3.76 kg of waste. From the results of statistical tests, the p-value is 0.000, so it can be ignored the effect of Covid-19 on the quantity of medical waste in X Hospital Bengkulu City.
